John and Coby

John has over 20 years experience as a designer and maker of furniture. He started out in 1988 at the Meat Market Craft Centre - Wood Design Studio and then in 1999 co-directed a business that primarily produced commercial cabinetry, shop fitting, retail displays and architectural joinery. In June 2009 launched a new furniture design and making venture with his partner.

John (Furniture Designer/Maker) and Coby (Graphic Designer) use their different design disciplines to jointly run a business for 2 and 3 dimensional design. Together they have interwoven their talent and created a range of products that are functional and simple. Joinery detail suggests a tradition of craft but are produced using modern furniture production techniques, technology and hardware. John and Coby Design consider eco accredited materials and finishes wherever possible in an effort to provide furniture from renewable resources that are more responsible to the environment.
